The European Jazz Conference 2015 ends with a great success

The European Jazz Conference just concluded . Thanks to all for your extraordinary participation in the EJC 2015 in Budapest, the second European Jazz Conference open also to non-member professionals.

Special thanks to our host, the Budapest Music Center which, with their incredible management, fantastic crew and awesome venue, made it happen!

We would like to thank the Board of EJN, the program committee, all the members of EJN and all the speakers  who contributed with their extraordinary skills to the content of this conference.

During the formal GA on Saturday 26th September, the new Board of Directors were elected and on Sunday 27th September the new Board had its first meeting.

Here are the new Board Members and the Board Officials:

  • Piotr Turkiewicz - Vice President (Jazztopad Festival/National Forum of Music) 

  • Bogdan Benigar - Secretary (Cankarjev dom - Ljubljana Jazz Festival) 

  • Terese Larsson  - Treasurer (Svensk Jazz) 

  • Nadin Deventer - Member (JazzFest Berlin, Berliner Festspiele) 

  • Jan Ole Otnæs - Member (Nasjonal jazzscene – Victoria)

  • Katrien van Remortel - Member (Arts Flanders Institute)

  • Lennart Stromback - Member (Umea Jazz Festival) 

  • Wim Wabbes - Member (Handelsbeurs Concert Hall) 

In the next days we will be circulating a survey to all participants in order to gather some feedbacks on the event and ideas on how to improve the EJC in the next editions.
